I’ve only had to make one so far and my coworkers told me to froth up the amount of milk I’d use for x size. Whenever I poured it into the cup it was literally just foam sitting on stop of shots and it felt so wrong lol. I feel like it’s wrong just cause I know that a hot cappuccino has steamed milk and the foam sitting on top which lets the milk mix with the espresso.
Wouldn’t a cappuccino just get extra cold foam on top of the shots and milk? Idk help please I can’t find it in the recipe cards🥲

this has come up a few times in this subreddit and r/Starbucks - the general consensus is iced latte w/ cold foam (not vsc cold foam; nonfat milk + 2 pumps vanilla). this was the most recent standard recipe until the iced cappuccino was taken off the menu, which is why there’s no recipe card

Is it cold bar pumps of vanilla?

Can we use different milks, or will they not foam right? Our store is new with a lot of new partners and we have a lot of people try to order an iced cappuccino.

The less fat is in the milk the better it foams, that’s why nonfat is used for regular cold foam.
r_b-uebinger1 points11m ago
Ohh ok, would any non-dairy milks work? I've wanted to try to find a good cf alternative, one of my regulars love our foam but is lactose intolerant
Not_Another_Karen1 points11m ago
I find our lactose free milks best. Alternatively, adding a pump or two of vanilla or creme Base works great if they are fine with it.

you could definitely try it, it just wouldn’t foam up as well as nonfat. i think i’ve substituted nondairy milks before for vsccf

I don’t put vanilla even tho it’s supposed to because people complain.

2 pumps of vanilla? Also does it get ice?
Necessary_Low9391 points11m ago
Yes of course

We had these as an official promo drink couple years back in my country. Pull shots in the steaming pitcher along with some ice cubes to cool down the espresso. In the meantime add 150ml of cold non-fat milk to the foam blender jar (srlsy i don't know what they're actually called lol) and let it get thiqué on #4. If ordered sweetened then add syrup to the cup otherwise just skip and add the cold foam directly to the cup, half scoop of ice (depending on size) and finally we pour the cooled down shots on top of the foam+ice. I don't know if any of that changed but that's how I remember it being taught to us when the iced cappucciono officially launched here lol

Thank you!! This is the one that makes most sense besides a latte with extra foam
thebestdaysofmyflerm2 points11m ago
It isn’t a drink. I would just say that we don’t have an iced cappuccino.
Chemical-Less6 points11m ago
this is the way. we gotta learn to just tell em no
thebestdaysofmyflerm2 points11m ago
Yeah if I can’t ring it up, I’m not selling it. There is no standard to order or make it.
I’ve found the best way to politely say no is to pivot. Like “we don’t sell an iced cappuccino, but we do have iced lattes!”

Shots, milk, ice, and skim unsweetened cold foam. I don’t put the vanilla because they complain.

I had a venti iced almond milk cappuccino today 💀
galaxydisco171 points11m ago
That's how I make it, I don't make it with the cold foam.

Shots, milk to the first line. Add ice and steam milk like you would a reg cappuccino. Then use the latte spoon to scoop the foam out and put it on top. Kinda like doppio macchiato.
