Edit: Also, 20 cents might not be a lot to you, but for elderly people on a fixed income, it could mean they can't have their one nice thing. Try to be compassionate 💖
Edit 2: That lady is probably having a terrible day now, and it's all because she went to Starbucks and didn't do anything wrong. She may not have reacted the best way she could have, but it sounds like a lot of baristas can own that same statement today. That doesn't deserve punishment, it deserves understanding. On both sides. We need to help each other through these problems when they arise, not let the stress of it cause us to be cruel to each other, which helps nothing and makes us all feel worse. I hope your day gets better and that people show you more understanding than she was able to in that moment!

It’s a known issue listed on the HUB. But FR! FML!!! We have 4 callouts already, a no show, we had to close early yesterday so the delivery guys left out 3 cases of DSB and various cases of pastries that o had to throw away when I opened. It’s a nation-wide issue. Upon calling SBUX-411 this morning myself, they said they’re fully aware and that there is no work-around. We’re all SOL. On one hand, 1/4 of my computers are punching as normal, my regular front till, so DTO and Front and essentially sharing that till or working around the issue as best as possible.

It’s nationwide… if you call for help there is an automated message telling you that they know and they are “working on it”… basically “best of luck bitches…” We are kinda dying. Taking DT orders at right pos, and left pos order computer is semi working, but white mocha, chia late and Carmel macchiato, and sometimes the venti buttons are all not working… also the iced button is working on and off… at one point POS froze so we had to to cafe and dt orders on the same computer and customers were so super pissy about it, even though we were letting them know what’s going on! Honestly we should close cafe and be DT only until this is sorted, it is absolutely obnoxious.

Some workarounds I have found
For iced lattes press venti drink > iced > latte
For syrups press a syrup that works and then Sub > the syrup that wasn't working should work as a substitute

My store too! What we’ve been doing is using the custom instructions like “in a venti cup” for venti drinks since it won’t let us ring above a grande, and “add ice” for iced drinks etc.

We’ve been having the same issue at my store, so we’ve been just playing around trying to find different ways to ring up drinks. (Example: iced Americano isn’t working, so we just ring up an americano, click “CUSTOM” and add ice. For white mochas, we have to click mocha, and sub for white mocha.)

A lot of customers at my store were trying to get iced caramel macchiatos and were confused when I was ringing it since I had to do it as a latte (thank goodness I know how every drink is made right?). also happening in TX! i opened at 4:30 and we ended up just ringing up drinks that costed the same amount and writing the actual drink in the “Ask Me”. i was 2 out of 9 partners that actually knew drink codes 😵💫😵💫 it was a doozy
AND our order didn’t come it, but they marked it as delivered!! no vanilla, no sandwiches, no RTD&E, barely any milks.. on a saturday!!!

so it’s a nationwide thing bc when ringing up certain drinks at my store (started today) , u can’t pick them as an option. i had stickers come out today reading Gr Latte CM and i was like wtf is this but my partner on pos told me about the problem. cm meant caramel macchiato
