brand new 2 month old ssv here. lol.. basically what the title says. coming in for work today after all the shit that went down with POS yesterday + running out of vanilla + venti iced cups is just really something. today seeks to be just as bad to be honest. we have been making whips and sweet cream with classic, we're almost out of venti iced cups, we had a whip explode and literally go everywhere on the floor + cold bar and drive. then a partner slipped in the heavy cream and their mouth started bleeding so they went home. then i slipped in the back trying to bring up a ton of sandwich trays since someone insists on laying all the food flat and using 12 trays for a pull. now we have our pre closer leaving in 30 minutes and it's just me and a barista until close, oh and we have to do clean play too. but only 2 of us cause the other barista had to go home .. and nothings done. lmao pls this job. 😭😭 i was holding out and staying for the raise but it's so stressful and draining that idk if the $19/hour is worth it anymore. at least my favorite regular came in today

2 month old shift here as well and yesterday was probably one of the worst shifts I’ve ever worked I had to come in early since we had call outs so I ended up pulling a 10 hour shift with no breaks cause we had no time for that shit 😂 today was my day off we had a bunch of call outs and tbh yesterday really was too much for me to come in today so I declined

LITERALLY!!!! i slept 4 hours the night before so i had 500mg of caffeine when i got there and worked 4a-1:30p.. only took my 30 because another shift was scheduled coverage on the floor and yelled at me cause i was genuinely about to pass out from too much caffeine lmao. completely agree though. 2 year partner and this was the worst shift ever

So weird how this weekend was just about the worst weekend for so many partners specially seasoned partners cause I’ve been working 2+ years and never seen it as bad as this weekend. The pos bullshit definitely made things worst

for reals.. how you gonna be a multi billion $$ company and have such a shit tech system?? and take that long to fix it 😭 i was hand writing cups on drive bar and had regulars yelling at my DTO for prices being different that usual

I’m a 5 ish month shift and no vanilla killed me
We didn’t make any sweet cream cause there isn’t an official substitute 😂 so many recovery cards

Fellow new shift here. This weekend was my first 2 openings by myself without another experienced shift. Friday was hard. I didn’t get my lunch and had to stay an extra hour to do my pull. Saturday I opened with a barista that has only been with us for a few months but understands bar pretty well. As the day progressed, we only got newer baristas. So it was my opener and I on bar all day and she was losing her shit. Worst day I have ever had. But at least all of the breaks were ran and we all got out when we should.
