I’m sick with a cold I caught last week should I still go to work? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Jadehatake
My sister and I seem to be the only ones who are sick. I caught her cold but my symptoms weren’t bad as the only symptoms I had was a headache and fatigue. Until towards the end of the week, conveniently on my days off I had a sore throat. The sore throat only lasted for about a day as I kept on treating it with Tylenol and hot tea. The next day I was still feeling sick as I woke up with a slight sore throat that went away a couple hours after I took Tylenol. Yesterday I was sneezing a lot and now today I seem to have a runny nose. I have work in a few hours. I feel fine to work the only thing that bugs me is that my runny nose is going to disturb me. I don’t just sneeze normally. When I sneeze I unfortunately (TMI, WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT CONTINUE TO READ IF YOU ARE EASILY GROSSED OUT!!) sneeze with lots of snot coming out and dripping down my face🤢😭😭 I don’t know if I should still go to my shift because of this. I would wear a mask if I went to work no doubt about that. What do you guys think I should do?

Edit: I know it’s a cold and not covid as my sister and I both took at home covid tests on different days and they both came out negative.

Up to you, if you think you can work through it work through it. If you would rather stay home with a handkerchief at the ready to deal with all your sneezing/snotting that also sounds like a good idea
