how to be "borrowed" to other stores? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I just started about a month ago and I want to be able to pick up more shifts when I can and there are never any shifts to claim at my store, how do I get access to other stores?

I know my district has a GroupMe with all the SMs and any baristas who want to be in it, where the SMs offer shifts and anyone can pick one up, in case your district isn’t using shift marketplace as much

On the app if it says shifts are available, the marketplace is for all the stores in the district.
But also just let your store manager know that you want to. Usually other SMs will communicate around with each other looking for outsider coverage

Hmmmm maybe? My manager mentioned recently that the market place was basically open and up for grabs and to talk to our SM about coverage first bc anyone could claim the shift and show up at our store. I haven’t claimed shifts on there before, only given them up.

You have to have your manager borrow you to other stores. Just go talk to them and let them know you are looking for shifts to pick up and can they borrow you to the stores closest to you?
If you need a certain number of hours also let the sm know. Sometimes they can schedule you more or mine has sent me messages about shifts that I can pick up. They have some sort of manager chat thing, so she knows before they are ever posted.

I would claim shifts at a local store all the time when I saw them pop up. Haven’t seen them since and I’m sad cos I liked working there
