Had a customer walk up to me and ask if the wait inside was as long outside. Since I didnt have a view on mobile orders coming in I couldnt say for certain and told her that.

She is huffy and says she is late for work (so she decided to wait in line at Starbucks to make herself even later?)

I ignore her attitude (we all have bad days and I'm trying to be gracious)

She tries to order the spinach feta wrap which has been put for a few weeks at this point. I relay this info to her. More glowering from the customer.

Then she has the audacity to ask that we make her drink ahead of other drinks drive-thru, mobile, etc. since she is "in a hurry"

I say we'll do what we can and let the barista at bar know what is going on so they can be prepared if this entitled wench loses her patience.

The barista later told me that she glowered at her until she got her drink.

Looking back this was a missed opportunity to tell her about the mobile app system and spare us both the interaction.. oh and yeah I did want to tell her in the moment where she could go and what she could do with herself when she got there. (I didnt) also refrained from reminding the customer that an emergency on her part is not an emergency on my part.

I mean if you are running late and you need your Starbucks either a) resign yourslef to being late or b) if you must you let us know don't be a jerk about it.

Once had a lady do this a couple of years ago do this and then go to hand off to ask the bar person to push her's first and one of the people waiting to pick up their mobile was like yeah we're all in a hurry, except the rest of us are being patient.
It was so hard not to laugh.

There were only 3 of us, mobiles were at 40 minute waits, couldn't get a hold of the SM to have them turned off, and I was the only person on bar. I didn't have the concentration to talk to that woman.

Later that day, we all howled over it.

ive had a couple shifts where ssv's can't get ahold of my SM, so they close cafe or mobiles anyway haha, they say "better to beg for forgiveness than go completely insane"

At the time only the SM could do it. After that she brought it up to the DM about all the shifts having access. So if it happened now, I would have mobiles off for sure.

People are getting ruder and stupider every single damn day. I HATE when customers stare at me while I make drinks. I am an anxious person already and this makes me more anxious. Which means room for mess ups. some people are just so entitled and ignorant and just plain mean

I feel like I would literally rather have someone scream at me so I could at least tell them to leave. Its difficult to justify it when the customer isnt being loud or using abusive language that everyone else can hear.
