Is it just my SM or does everyone just tweak the schedule a lot? My SM has changed the schedule for the next week three times already— changing my hours, taking away shifts, or adding new ones. I’ve also noticed that since we’ve gotten our raises this month, my hours have been seriously cut. Went from 15-20/week to only getting scheduled for one or two shifts.

I thought once it was posted what you were working couldn’t change without permission or an emergency circumstance. Like if you are closing early for 5 days due to COVID the SM can change things, but not like oops she forgot to schedule clean play type deal.

That’s what I thought too. I’ve been at this store for three months and I think we’ve only stuck to the original schedule twice. There have been plenty of times where myself and other partners have come in only to be told we’re early or not on the schedule at all because she changes it and doesn’t notify us. I’ve gotten in the habit of checking it multiple times a week because of this.

Start taking pictures of the printed posted schedule and if it changes without notice or at least the sm talking to you I would report it.

Bring it up to your manager, say you have problems with this as you are expected to put in time off requests ahead of time so when you plan things (like medical appointments) that are more closer in time you look to the store schedule to make sure your not double booked. I have to tell my old manager this and she realized what why this wasn’t ok. Especially for me when if you cancel or reschedule for my doctors it’s a fee and with our pay I can’t afford this.
