Might as well just get a regular shaken esp at that point with the add ons

I like the idea of you pulling almost every single sticker, looking at the mods and saying, "But it's not even the original drink!"

Does the "no chocolate malt powder" mean none in the foam or none shaken with the espresso or both? Lol since its a mobile, i would be standing there like 🧍♀️ lol

Cold form with mocha I guess
Responsible_Snow71092 points10m ago
Idk i dont think so. My first thought would be maybe regular vanilla sweet cream cold foam? And no malt in the shaken part of the drink either? Lol some drink orders placed make me confused 😐

Same.

For those of you confused about no malt: If a drink pops up like this and the drink comes standard with malt, but they add chocolate foam and then select no malt in the drink, it’s just that. Chocolate cream cold foam is still what they ordered and not a mobile option to remove ingredients from foam, same on our POS. If they complain, nicely explain that there are options in the app for vsccf :)

I had someone the other day order a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. The only change he requested was to use no oat milk, but he wanted sweet cream. Whatever that’s easy. When he got it, he was upset that the label said blonde espresso. He was shocked their was cinnamon powder, and he kept asking why there was milk when he requested none. There wasn’t a single aspect of the recipe he wanted/liked. He then said “I order it every day. My girlfriend works at Starbucks. I don’t know what this is.” Idk, guy, maybe go to your gf’s store and get her to make your drink.

chocolate cream cold foam with no chocolate malt powder, so vsccf? I’m convinced they don’t know wtf they’re ordering and just pushing buttons.
badatlife156 points10m ago
Did they just not want the choc malt in the drink though? That was my first thought

I would have done cold form with the mocha tbh if I saw that. They said no malts.

Could we baristas stick just the sticker to the mobile hand off plane and wait for the customer to come in to clarify? In a situation like this I would be concerned that they might have a malt allergy. Does regular mocha contain malt? Could we trade mocha for malt in the drink? I imagine mocha would mess up the cold foam texture… I’ll be experimenting tomorrow

I never liked vanilla lattes, I just always made sure to order a mocha with no whip and no mocha and vanilla /s
I feel like ordering a shaken espresso with oatmilk and chocolate foam would be cheaper as well as easier? Idk someone correct me if I'm wrong

decaf espresso shaken with ice, oatmilk to 1/2” below top, then vsccf?
edit: whoever downvoted, can you say how you would make this drink ???
glo-frog6 points10m ago
I didn’t downvote, but it’s definitely just no malt in the chocolate almond shaken espresso. Still keep chocolate malt foam since they chose to order that specific foam, the no malt option is in the drink ingredients, not separate foam ingredients. At least that would be standard, lol the drink is still silly
