new barista at a licensed store (self.starbucksbaristas)

hi! i’m a new barista at a licensed store. we have good hours and everything like only open 8a - 4, my coworkers seem pretty nice. but i basically no called no showed yesterday due to the day before being so crazy there and i wasn’t able to do any training as it was so busy.

my coworkers got really frustrated with me and i just opted to go read over recipe cards and the book.

i really struggle with my mental health and i am just wondering if maybe i’m not cut out for the job? or if anyone had any tips to get through it. i just kinda felt like i was in the way that day, as there is hardly any space behind the bar.

I just work in a Starbucks bar not the full sized store but I found that the easiest to get started is to find tasks that are easy to learn and just do those to start with just so you can help out and then slowly branch out(for me it was washing dishes). My first day was terrible as well I thought that I would never go back but each day it gets easier cause you Learn how to do things and how you become more efficient until it’s all just muscle memory.
