I don’t think so. From my understanding they use aids/grants and then their money. Because you have the “option” to deny(?) grants/loans.

Not necessarily, Starbucks first applies their Starbucks College Achievement Plan Scholarship. Afterwards, they apply any Financial Aid or Grants that you have accepted. Then they cover the rest of your tuition. The amount they cover after all of the financial aid is recorded under "Pre-Scap Tax" which has the limit of $5250 before you have to pay taxes on the additional amount. Anything taxed above that limit will be taken out of your paycheck in December. Don't forget to check the Financial Page or your pay stub!!
