They don't know. No seriously, they don't know. They think, oh I like the brown sugar thing, but not the brown sugar. Then they click on it and go, it has cinnamon? Why? Well I don't want that.

When they get there, if you have a second let them know there is a general shaken espresso button. They may tell you they had to order it that way because of a bonus star offer though, so be aware of that option.

I totally agree with what ur saying! Lol if they just ordered the regular shaken espresso, 4 of those mods would not have to be there and it would have been easier for them than them having to click around

that makes sense okay

I just checked and ordering a regular shaken espresso with toffee nut syrup added is $1.50 cheaper. I don't even think ordering it this way would be worth it for a bonus points offer.

I always suggest easier/cheaper ways to order if I'm DTO and notice this. Saves us both grief and sbux can shove it

I used to do this for dirty iced chais, but while I don’t care about Starbucks making a profit, since our earnings determine labor and labor determines how stressful the day is, I want more partners on the floor, I’ll let the customer deal with it. To be fair I think all customers should just stop going to Starbucks to show the higher ups how ridiculous the prices are, but I know that won’t happen.

They probably ordered it like this for a star reward.
