I'm only a week in to working as a barista, but I'm 16 years in as a teacher (middle school). From a full week of training, I think you would want to highlight skills in:
- customer service
- running multiple stations
- multitasking/speed/efficiency
- learning hundreds of recipes and regularly learning new recipes each season
- any training of new hires (stretch it to assisting newbies learning the recipes, ropes)
When you go for an interview, you can talk about how you've worked with all sorts of people in a professional way. Teaching involves lots of multitasking throughout the day, so being able to adjust on the fly and ask questions when you don't know something is important. Experience with difficult customers, situations can show your ability to keep cool and handle flair ups in the classroom. For a long term sub position, being able to learn new things quickly will be an asset.
I hope this can get you started at least.
