basically the ratio between the grinded espresso & water
- updosed would be the regular amount of water that comes in a regular shot + more espresso than the usual amount
- ristretto is the regular amount of espresso pulled with less water than the usual amount
- long shot is regular amount of espresso pulled with more water than the usual amount

i always recommend ristretto by saying “ristretto in Italian means short. so this shot is going to get the same amount of beans, the same amount of caffeine, but way less water so your drink will be less diluted and taste less like coffee.”
