ssv interview questions (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Suspicious_Wiener
Okay before anyone says anything, I want to be a shift. I have experience and am ready for this next step. Ultimately I would love to be a store manager one day.
For the shift supervisor interview, what type of questions will they ask?
Typically I go over questions beforehand and have some key words to remember so I don't freeze up in the interview. I'm very bad about coming up with examples on the spot, so I'm hoping to think about these questions in advance so I am ready for my interview.
Any help, from anyone who has interviewed for this before would be awesome! Thanks everyone

For my interview (I am a Ssv now btw) I was asked about a time a customer was unhappy and how I dealt with the situation, if there was a time that I had to correct a partner who was intimidating or set in their ways, a time that I had coached a partner to standard (what what why method and later what why method), and if I had followed up in all those situations as well, aka had I made sure they took my advice to heart

they ask about a time you disagreed with your manager and how you handled it, your experience with customers and making connections to ppl, a time you had to coach someone/correct someone when they did something incorrectly. i think all the questions are on the partner hub, just look up “shift supervisor interview questions” they usually follow it pretty closely

some tips I would recommend is having a PDP, coffee tasting, and examples of coaching other partners using the what/what/why method :D the questions are on partner hub!! you need to search up “shift supervisor interview questions”, they’re mostly tailored to applicants outside of sbux lol good luck!! 💕

make sure to prepare a full coffee tasting and basically just reinforce that you’re there to support your team and maintain an upbeat environment.

in the partner hub you can actually find the full list of questions :) i’ve never looked before so don’t ask me where but it is in fact there
