Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Full History - 2022 - 08 - 20 - ID#wtcj36

So I just started working at Starbucks and my hours were steady until last this week and I only have 11 hours, none next week, and 15 hours the week after that. Could I apply at two different Starbucks locations and work at both? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I don’t think you can, usually when a partner needs hours we call stores close to our area and talk to the manger and ask if they are in need of anyone to cover shifts and say you are available

Ohh alright thank you

If you're up to it, you can pick up shifts at other stores that need the help! In the starbucks partner hours app, go to 'more' and you will see 'Shift Marketplace' at the top. They will show anyone who has offered their shift at your store and all others in your district!

It doesn’t allow you to see all in your district unless you manager adds you to view specific stores through the Starbucks Partner Hours website, so make sure you communicate with your SM that you want more hours, and would like to be able to view more stores from the district. ☺️

Alright, thank you

it’s also not as official, but check on facebook to see if there’s a starbucks shift swap group in your area! i was able to pick up quite a few shifts on there and it’s (usually) reliable 😅

you can work at a corporate location and a licensed location, so like a tarbucks and a corporate starbucks, but not two corporate stores. thats assuming you’re in the usa. idk other countries rules on it.

You can just pick up extra shifts in other locations in your district

You don't have to apply. Find out which stores are in your district call them let them know which store you're at and that you are willing to pick up extra hours trust me you will get calls

Thank you

You don't have to apply but ask the manager at another location if you can pick up some shifts. I'm sure you'll get more than enough hours.

Alright thank you

there’s also the feature on the partner app where you can see if there are stores with shifts available for you to pick up! just so you don’t have to call
MathematicianJust519 [OP] 2 points 10m ago
I did not know this, how would I do it
sanavrse 2 points 10m ago
you need to get the app first! if you already have it you need to click around a bit until you get to the shift swap tab and just look until you find a shift that fits what you want. then you’ll just select it and it’ll be assigned to you!
if you need to get the app i believe your manager or a ssv at your store will be able to provide a QR code or link for you to download it

Which app is it? Is it the SBux Partner Hrs app?
Additional-Jaguar309 2 points 10m ago

MathematicianJust519 [OP] 1 points 10m ago
No that’s the same thing I was thinking
