((Rant)) How hard is it to treat us like human beings? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Caffeineadick
Like genuinely you see us making your drinks, you see us at speaker box((my store has a camera feature)). You hear us when we speak. So why do you act like we’re not human? Like we’re some coffee robot.

The amount of times some Karen customer has made me cry and acted like it’s just another Tuesday, how could someone as a human do that and still treat us like shit.

We’re humans. We make mistakes. Just like you. We don’t deserve this, I get payed to be nice not be a punching bag

a lot of people say “you don’t know what they are going through” which we don’t, but they honestly do not need to be so rude. Some people will always be like they weather they are having a bad day or not. I will never understand why people treat us so poorly because whenever i’m having a bad day i will never be rude to someone else

“What if they’re having a bad day?” Okay?? What if I’m having a bad day? Like genuinely just be polite it’s the bare minimum. After my childhood pet passed I still went into work I was having the worst day but I was still nice and polite

I don’t care WHAT you’re going through, if you take out your bad day on someone at their job that can’t say or do anything back that you deserve, you’re a little bitch.

EXACTLY. Like bruh we all going through stuff but you don’t see us yelling and screaming at you

Seriously! If im having a terrible day im not mean to strangers! Its crazy how some people think they can get a pass to act however they want just bc they arent in the best mood

Lmfao my parents are divorcing and I'm not out here throwing drinks at people and screaming slurs
Responsible_Snow7109 2 points 10m ago
Yepp same. My parents split after 30 years of marriage and moved a little further away and im not over here throwing drinks at customers or screaming at them to grab their drinks quicker like they do to us in regards to our speed of making their drinks. Theres just so much that everybody is going thru. Being kind to us for the few minutes that someone is at our store trying to get something from us is not that difficult. But yet it still continues and sadly probably always will. Its nasty how they get physical with some baristas or throw hot drinks or anything at baristas. Who in their right mind thinks that thats ok?

exactly, and i’m sorry:((

THIS! Regardless of how either our days are going it cost us nothing! not one cent! to be a kind soul to one another. how we treat each other is what makes this world go round.

The other day was the 5th anniversary of my moms death and I was honestly just baaaaarely holding my shit together and some lady went absolutely ballistic on me because she was going to be late for work. I was doing my best and the stupid machine kept canceling my shots and I just burst into tears right in front of everyone. Good times. Love customers.

Side note if you’re reading this Karen, plan ahead and you won’t be late to work. Hope your cinnamon dolce latte was worth it.

I hate people. This job has made me cynical. I hope that lady has the day she deserves. Sorry about ur mom and that u had to go thru that at work. Ur mom is probably seeing all the idiotic shit customers are doing and shes probably up there laughing at all of them right with u ❤️
