can someone explain this? (i.redd.it)
submitted by Kijika_C
Every time i pour the box of pineapple passionfruit into the pitcher, these small black particles keep appearing. Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you looked at them up close? Maybe flies or mold from the manufacturer on account of Starbucks’ complete lack of quality standards.

probably not scrubbing ur pitchers enough

Wait YES. I was batching a cube the other day and when pouring one of the cartons that came out. I thought the same thing and got a new carton and poured it into a clean pitcher to be sure and same thing. I have no idea. I’m guessing the passion fruit?

I’ve had this happen to me a couple of times now and can vouch it is not from dirty pitchers because it’s only happened to me like twice. You know how great quality control is!!

Maybe coffee grinds from dirty pitchers

Im 90% certain its this
violaaesthetic 3 points 10m ago
Honestly it just looks like pieces of the beta carotene buildup coming off the pitcher into the new juice. Or it settled inside the carton and this person didn’t shake it before pouring. Guarantee that they’ll dissolve back into refresher if you mix it
CITCourtney 3 points 10m ago
I mention it because we’ve been seeing this in all of our refresher tubs recently. Stirring doesn’t do much.
There’s certainly a chance my store’s issue and this person’s issue are different of course so you might be right!
Rather than grounds, though, ours is just bean residue and such from storing the brewed coffee beans in tubs and such.
Kinda gross.

They are actually red, I’ve been thinking it’s whatever toxic substance they use for the color
Borobucks 2 points 10m ago
Fruit flies have a red hue to them as well
ugholivia 1 points 10m ago
I’ve only seen that when they are full of juices like that guy who gives his ants different colored liquids or something

same here. even in our brand new pitchers we got in our RP order this week. it's definitely something in the base
