Story about customer complaining drink is watered down 2 hours after ordering. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Sohotomi
A lady came through the drive thru the other night and ordered a shaken espresso with white mocha. I remembered taking her order. She came at 6:00 pm. She didn't mobile order.

She comes back at 8:00 pm telling us the drink is watered down. My coworker takes the drink and sees on the sticker that it's been 2 hours since she ordered. We mention it to her and she says "yeah and it's also super bitter". My coworker called the shift on duty over. Our shift asks her about it and she responds "my friend ordered it for me way too early and she brought it to me"

At this point one of my other coworkers gets on the headset and says "she literally did this last night" so our shift supervisor says "I've just been informed you did this last night too. Tell your friend not to do this again. We'll remake it again for you just this once. In the future, watered down drinks from sitting around will not be our issue. " The lady was so irritated and kept trying to make up excuses. I'm also 95% sure there was no friend ever involved and she picked it up earlier because she looked and sounded familiar.
Anyways, what a roundabout way to get a free drink. (Or just a very entitled person who can't face the consequences of their actions.i.e: letting the drink sit and realizing it is now watered down.)

There was once a woman that came in the morning and ordered a blonde coffee black, she proceeds to come back 3 hours later, and asks for a new one because it got cold. It’s 1 PM now and even though we told her that we stopped serving blonde after 12 she still demanded it. We told her it would have to be an americano (because we only do pour overs for nice people) and she said no those are disgusting. She ended up getting an americano and she couldn’t tell.

I just love the idea that because of their actions they expect us to fix it for them. It's just such an entitled attitude that's so deep rooted in them.

We had a dude come two days later saying his drink didn’t taste good when he had ordered it 🙃

Ugh I’ll remake it if I saw you drop it on the way to the car or if your nice and say hey, I didn’t mean to Mobile order this so early, do you mind remaking it? Then yea if your nice and explain you were in the wrong. But if you lie and pull this bs often then no. You fucked up. Not me. Not my problem

"Its watered down. But its also bitter" wtf?

And yea i would remake it for people if i notice their drink has been sitting at the mobile pickup area for a while, if i catch them coming in to pick it up, ill ask them if they would like their watered down drink remade if theyre one of the nice ones. Or ill still remake it if they kindly ask me. This lady in ur situation knows what shes doing especially if this isnt the first time its happened. People are constantly trying to pull some schemes at starbucks. Pay for what u want. Get what u can pay for. Stop trying to get free product. Ive had people try similar things in this situation too

Three weeks or so after the maple chicken sandwich was recalled and about two weeks since my store had any a man came in asking for a refund on two maple chicken sandwiches he got last week that didn’t taste right. He said he ordered them from our store. That was completely out for weeks. This is gonna surprise you, but he didn’t have a receipt and left empty handed😂
