Someone ordered an upside down shaken espresso. I repeated multiple times to myself “an upside down shaken espresso”. Like….what? I just——it’s going to get shaken so—-y’all I can’t like idk why this stumped me out of everything I have ever seen but it did and I’m just like what is this fuckery, buffoonery and trickery? 😂😂

We have this all the time at my store lol. I was told to pour the milk first into the cup and then add the shaken espresso on top. Since it’s upside down. However, some customers actually mean shake the milk and espresso together in the shaker so they don’t have to bother in mixing their drink. I personally like clarifying with them and it’s either one or the other.

U still do as normal but u will put the milk in the cup first then the shots on top in the cup. U don’t shake the milk or anything.

I add the milk to the shaker when they say that, instead of topping it with milk at the end.

I add the milk to the shaker and shake the milk with the shots, syrup, and ice. They tell me that they want it all together instead of layered, with the milk throughout instead of just topped with milk. I obviously tell them this drink was never intended to be a latte, that they may get more consistent/better results if they order an iced latte, but I tell them I can add milk to the shaker and get them a more consistent sip that way and they have WITHOUT FAIL THUS FAR, always asked me to add the milk to the shaker. I always, always, always clarify.

i get this all of the time. i pour the milk in first, then do the shots on top... no clue if thats right or not, but if you order dumbfuckery, i am going to give you dumbfuckery haha (all jokes!)
