I have this constantly. probably because as a closer I have very little time between getting off work and falling asleep. and then I just end up half asleep at night feeling like im still at work making drinks and taking orders from my bedroom

The worst thing about working somewhere other than Starbucks is not having a headset to shit talk customers with.

I’m a caregiver for a disabled child and I was about to ask his echo dot to play music, rather than saying “echo play x,” I almost said….”thank you for choosing Starbucks.” 🤣 I told his mom and we both had a good laugh and agreed I was working too much.

Lmao why did this actually happen today at work though 💀 customer wanted it remade three times and gave up asking after the 2nd - literally nothing was wrong with her drink it’s what she ordered.. and then the morning rush of nurses from the hospital across the street flooded in

This actually happened at work to me once and it was a nightmare. I guess we were short staffed so I took a few orders (honestly can’t remember what my position was, I want to say CS & front), but I’m asked to go help on bar because now they’re just drowning in orders.

So I go to start make the drinks for cafe & mobile and the first one had like some iced latte with extra cold foam. I guess she wanted it like an iced cappuccino? Personally I have no clue how to make that, but I also wasn’t told that at the register, just iced latte extra foam, and light ice. So I handed it over and she says it’s not right and asks me to remake it. Whatever I start on it again and then try to get some of the other drinks done. I pour a little bit extra sweet cream and then hand it over. Once again she says it’s not right. This time she tells me that she wants an iced cappuccino, so she wants it like half foam, half actual beverage. I’m kind of frazzled at this point since I’ve been stuck working on this same drink and just keep messing it up. Whatever I go to start it again and go to put some ice in it only to be screamed at from over the counter that she wanted light ice. Whatever at this point I just do it again, then I end up spilling the drink. I finally got it out to her, but honestly it was just a disaster.

I definitely remember the very first set of sticker printers! They were much louder and easy to hear 😆

When ever it beeps for a long time I always scream no grandpas dying it’s called ✨making the work place fun✨

My eyes widen when I hear the Uber sound at other restaurants. Thank god it’s integrated now, although it rarely still goes off.

When the safe beeps I run up to the Shift that set it hella urgently and yell “Omg hurry! Hurry! The baby is crying!!!” And run off. 🙃
