My dog doesn’t like pup cups. I’m looking for alternatives. (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have a little Maltese puppy and she used to love pup cups. I took her to Starbucks once a week. Then last month she started rejecting pup cups. She won’t even touch them. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to give her. I don’t mind paying extra.

honestly, probably just a cup of water. nothing at starbucks is going to be good for dogs, not even the food
MrsClaireUnderwood 5 points 10m ago
This is pretty much the only answer. Starbucks isn't really meant for dogs or other pets.

Yeah I figured as much. Thank you!

Do you know if she sees ice cubes as high value treats? Every dog I've taken care of *loves* ice cubes, they usually like to spit them out and jump on them lmao

You could also buy a plain croissant and share it with them. There shouldn't be enough butter in the croissants for it to be dangerous and it could still count as a treat!

maybe if your dog likes cheese, give them that from the protein boxes (but maybe not all of it bc it’ll cause upset stomachs)? sometimes i’ll slip my dog a piece while eating my post-work snack

of course!!

We’re a coffee shop not a pet shop lol tf

why not keep a bag of dog treats and give her one when you're at the drive-thru?
Tuuuucc 10 points 10m ago
Dogs are supposed to eat dog food and water.

Lol they can have chicken and rice. It’s what the vet prescribes sometimes

my dog loves car rides so i'll treat her to some nice triple filtered water and tons of attention at the drive through window. thats the best treat starbucks can offer for our four legged friends

I would share protein boxes with my dog after work. He loved carrots and a lil chunk of cheese or maybe a lil chunck of egg white from the boiled egg

honestly it’s probably better your dog doesn’t like pup cups because they’re just a cup full of cavities and gingivitis :’) unless you brush your dog’s teeth regularly you’d be fine

pup cups are poison for animals!

One of my coworkers loves to give dogs in drive thru some of our blueberries
Low-End4987 3 points 10m ago
People will order bacon bites for their dogs too lol
pettingneos 3 points 10m ago
i get my dog an oatmeal bowl full of cold water and ice lol. a bit awkward to order but she loves it
BrightAngelBarista 2 points 10m ago
You can bring home a cheese and egg protein box or purchase a short of cold foam aka nonfat milk foam.
My dogs also beg for bits of my Perfect Bar peanut butter bars.

My dog has a sensitive stomach and she’s super old so she can’t have whipped cream any more so I ask them for a little cup of ice cuz she goes crazy for ice cubes and that way she still gets a little treat
kaynist 1 points 10m ago
i have a customer who gets their dog a butter croissant lol. cup of ice might be good too

I don’t know about Starbucks, but I know that at the grocery store they have these frozen pup cups. I can’t think of the name but I get them from target, it’s a little cup of dog “ice cream.” I think the brand is Kona. Make sure to not give it all at once though, especially with a puppy they will eat it too fast and throw up.

my dog doesn’t do well with pup cups either. he does however like the cheese sticks! he seems to tolerate them well, however every dog is different. we give him half and if he want more we give him the whole thing. so far nothing bad comes of it, it’s a once and a whole treat and he loves it!

It's a dog, nothing at starbucks is good for a dog besides water
xiomaruugh 1 points 10m ago
Maybe a cup of water with fruit or string cheese.
mrzygb 1 points 10m ago
hmm, we have packets of blueberries in the fridge for our blueberry oatmeal which seldom gets ordered at my location. they’re a great healthy snack for dogs :)
Myebix 1 points 10m ago
if you regularly get one of the protein boxes that has carrots, that's a good treat for dogs. otherwise, just do as everyone else has said and get water.
