I love bees, my last store had a ton of honeybees that would fly through the open dt window. I’d scoop them up and let them go outside.

Honeybees only sting as a last resort to protect their hive/queen. They’re super gentle and you can freely scoop them up and carry them. As long as people aren’t swatting at them, they won’t sting and they’ll just buzz around. They just need some help finding their way back outside.

Never prop your dt window open, they’re designed to automatically shut for a reason (pests and bees). The only time it should be open is when there is a customer at the window. Even if you have back-to-back customers in dt, shut the window after you tell them to have a good day. Open it when the next customer pulls up. Limit the time the window is open, you limit the amount flying into the store.

Edit: unless you’re talking about wasps or hornets, in which case your screaming and reactions are 100% valid. Kill them.

We had one of those giant black ground hornets fly through dto one time and I almost shit myself.

To prevent insects from flying in the air curtain should be on at all times.
