Why do customers always use the line “other Starbucks does this”??????

Don’t you think that WE know the menu? There is no blonde iced coffee

Don’t you think that WE know the fall launch date? Other stores didn’t start selling fall products

There are stores that constantly bends the rules for bratty customers, and they fully suck!

Theoretically you could do a blonde iced coffee pour over, but I would never suggest that to a customer. Either she’s misinformed or other stores have been lying to her and have just been giving her regular iced coffee or a blonde iced americano.

We had a regular at my store who insisted the other stores in our area were giving her decaf blond drip coffee. It doesn’t exist. I don’t know if it’s ever existed. The other stores were definitely just giving her decaf Pike.

Throwback to working at a Clover store

Maybe she goes to a store with a clover? We do iced clovers several times a day and they can be any roast including reserve.

You can make a blonde iced pour over using the hot water pitcher for pour overs. On one side it’s the measurement for coffee. On the other side is the measurement for custom iced teas. Use the side with the custom iced tea whether tall, grande or venti. The water level is significantly lower and for good reason. Allow the coffee to drip into a cold cup filled with ice and then add cream and sweetener. You will have the best iced pour over you’ve ever tried. Takes less time to make than the average pour over. Iced Blonde pour over. It's definitely annoying, but they are completely correct in requesting it, unfortunately. That said, it's actually way better than the regular iced coffee haha.

There is a blonde pour over iced coffee, but no one teaches how to do it because we all hate it. Plus it takes forever to do it. Just like the iced London fog. I just give people cold brew and be done with it.

There is a line on the gooseneck kettle for the water level you would use with iced coffee. It's on the opposite side from the hot coffee water levels. So you could theoretically make someone an iced pour over with any of the coffees, including blonde. You'd then have to add ice to cool it which is why the water level is so much lower.

Also, Starbucks sells already brewed blonde iced coffee at grocery stores which is why people think they can get it at cafes.

Kind of related but A customer asked me for a "dragon drink decaffeinated."

"Decaf"

"Yes, no coffee please"

And so i had to explain to her that its impossible as the mango dragonfruit liquid base comes caffeinated, not much but it is. She was super confused and was like "but the other starbucks has never said anything! Have they just been lying to me?" And i felt bad for her lol 😅

Blonde iced pour over. Same for decaf iced coffee for stores that don’t get the little 5/9oz bags of decaf iced coffee.

My thought is that people assume that Starbucks offers the same products sold in groceries store.

“Starbucks” sells different types of bottled iced coffees in grocery stores so I assume customers believe that it’s available everywhere. It’s also the reason I think customers request Fraps to not be blended or without ice because they think they’re the same as the bottles sold in other stores

ugh god I literally had the same thing happen to me today but instead of asking for blonde iced coffee she wanted decaf iced coffee.. obv I suggested a decaf americano after explaining we don’t brew decaf iced coffee and she got so frustrated and confused because she’s “ordered it before” that she just ended up speeding off instead of actually ordering anything. like.. no, blonde iced coffee is not real. what really happened is probably that the other stores just go "yeah sure" when she asks for it and they just make a blonde americano iced. because of that, she thinks blonde iced coffee is a thing. 99% sure that's what happened.

i got a lady in DT once who didnt believe me that we didnt have blonde iced coffee, after i told her multiple times. i even offered a blonde americano. she then came inside and tried to ask someone else if we had blonde iced coffee. that person told her the same thing. people are ridiculous. anyway i did see sbux blonde iced coffee at a grocery store once so they might be confused bc of that? who knows though lol

Those other stores probably just say "ok" when she orders a blonde iced coffee because they figure she's going to react like this.
