Tips for Transfering (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Icy-Combination-4242
Hello everyone! I wanted to ask if anyone had any advice for transferring stores as a new employee.

I’ve been working at Starbucks for a month and a half or so, and I really enjoy it. From my coworkers and getting comfortable to the store I had a lot of fun at work.

Im scared about having to relearn everything like where everything is, and how the new store runs. I also picked up making drinks really quickly, and became know as one of my last store’s faster baristas. But I still struggle with remember shelf lifes a lot, and a bunch of other stuff.

Lastly, I know my new store has the corner set up v.s. the line setup that i grew comfortable with. Do people have a preference?

Thanks again!

If you want to transfer, you need to fill out a transfer request sheet. Try to let your SM know about a month before you want to transfer.

I transferred as a fairly new employee too since I moved for school. I worked about 2 months before transferring. It’s defiantly a learning curve since my new Starbucks is way busier and set up a bit differently but after a couple weeks you begin to learn and everything comes back to you. Overall it shouldn’t be too stressful of an experience :)
