Hi, I am applying for a shift supervisor position and my background check has taken over a week, i've applied at 3 other locations including the one I was looking to get hired at.
The manager wanted to hire me but he said he couldn't make an offer until my background check came back.
He contacted me today (it's been over a week since my background check was done) and they can't get it to push through, he told me I would have to wait 4-6 weeks to reapply but I need this job now.
What can I do to get my background check to push forward and come through?
Has anybody else had this issue during hiring?

When I was hired my background check glitched and sent three. And then they couldn’t get things going because the three glitched or whatever but it only took a week to fix. Can they not send you a new one ?

he said he and his peers have tried everything and nothing is working, he thinks it's a glitch in the system

i just withdrew my application and reapplied to see if it would make a difference
