Who is at fault? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by One-Huckleberry-3774
i just transferred to a new store for my first time since i began working for starbucks, and i’m really at a loss. i haven’t experienced such an unprofessional and unprepared working environment. during a shift, one of the partners had brought their own personal speaker and began playing their own music for the entire café to hear. while the music they played was good (it was a bunch of pop, rock, r&b, and rap from the 2000’s-2010’s), a lot of the songs that they played did have curse words. while i would totally want a link to their playlist, what they played wasn’t appropriate.

not only this, but most partners in this store constantly break rules just to appease to the customers. they’re simple rules like not serving frappuccinos in trenta cups, or not serving someone a venti or a trenta. they also fill the milk up all the way to the top of the cups when customers order shots of espresso over ice with pumps of their preferred syrup, and milk.

ASIDE from all of this, our inventory is all kinds of fucked up. this store is over ten years old, and they still cannot seem to understand just how much inventory to order to keep up with the demand.
just in the span of one week, we were short
- classic syrup
- blonde espresso
- matcha
- heavy cream
- whole milk
- brown sugar syrup
- cookie crumble toppings
- dark caramel sauce
- g/v cold cup lids
- oatmilk
- strawberry purée

who is at fault for just how unprofessional, and underprepared this store is?
