Licensed store rant (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Starsdrifting8
I’ve been working at a target Starbucks for a little over a year and in that year everyone has quit, long term and short term employees. The only person who hasn’t quit is my team lead who became team lead about 4-5 months ago after my last one was fired.

We only have 6 employees including myself and my team lead. 2 are leaving September 1st, which leave me, my team lead, a part time employee and a full time employee who joined 3 weeks ago.

I’m just so stressed out because everyone quits because of being understaffed but at the same time, no one acts as a team to try and help each other.

Every night the closers have an hour and a half to close and they had 3 people last night, they left me with no milk, no refreshers, no cups, the whole place was just trashed. I almost wasn’t able to open on time.

But the day before on Thursday I worked alone all day, and before I left I set the closer up good so she didn’t have to do much.

My ETL is new, so he’s not much help.
They won’t hire anyone either.
I don’t want to quit, but holy fuck how hard is it to hire some new people???

ON TOP OF THAT: They didn’t restock anything, left a mess for me in the morning, and put out the new cups for the fall launch, which I had to take down when I came in.

I also work at Target Starbucks and I feel like I'm the only team member that thinks ahead and is considerate of the people in the following shifts and cleans correctly. When I open, things are always chaotic and counters, inside of fridges, etc are sticky, stained w milk and whip, etc so not only do I have to do all the regular opening tasks, I have to also clean up yesterdays mess which they were supposed to do. They also never throw out the expired mocha so I always have to clean it and make more. Lots of other little things like that that pile up and make my openings very difficult.

Yeah that’s awful, I also work at a licensed store and we have 1 person closing for 30 minutes… there’s no excuse for them leaving the store like that
