This was probably stupid on my part for not realizing before I paid and before I walked out the door.
Tldr; I paid for my bean markout and it's only half a bag of espresso, can I get a refund and rearing it for my markout?
I went to another Starbucks to get my bean markout because my store hasn't had the blonde espresso in a bit, and that's really the only beans I (and my roommate) want for our espresso at home.
I ordered my Venti BOSE with light milk and with room, since I only want a *splash of milk, I don't want a latte*. I could tell the partner on register was new since they had to ask where the "w/room" button was. Anyhow, I then hand him the espresso beans asking if I can use my markout on them and have them ground, they say sure. They take my partner number and then I pay. They go to grind my beans, doesn't know how to so they ask, I politely ask to make sure it's ground on espresso and not metal (the fellow partner told them to do it exactly as they do for pike).
The partner making my drink hands me my drink, it's completely filled with milk (I get it, it's a common point of discussion on how to make the shaken espressos). I guess a made a disappointed look when I saw it, so they asked if it was wrong, i mentioned I just wanted a splash of oatmilk. They offer to remake it, I tell them it's okay and ask if they can just add an extra shot. They do, so it's fine, I'll take it.
I then get my ground espresso bag from the other partner, and idk what happened but I have slightly more than half a bag of ground espresso 😔 and it's missing the little closure tab things, I knew they were new so I was like it's fine, it's free to me. As I drive away, I taste my drink, there's no brown sugar in it. Okay fine, it's all fine. But then it dawned on me that I just paid $15. My beans weren't marked out, just the discount applied 😔
So now I have half a bag of espresso that I paid for, plus a not so great drink which I also paid for 😔
I was wondering if I can go back in and get a refund on my beans and have them marked out properly. I just don't know if you can since I'm a partner? Do I need to go to the same store, do I have to do it on the same day (today)?
Any help appreciated. I know at the end of the day it's my fault for not realizing before I paid, but I was frazzled and worried that I was holding up the line.
