Anyone else have a store manager that plays favorites (self.starbucksbaristas)

Ive been working at my store for ab 7 months and i love it and all my coworkers! Im about to be promoted to barista trainer and im really excited! The only negative thing ab this job is my store manager.
Hes a chill guy and every customer loves him. Hes definitely a very present and overall a good manager. But god does this manager play favorites.
Nitpicks everything ab you and what youre wearing or what you are doing. Not like its not his job but he only does it to the people he doesnt find a favorite.
He made a snarky remark ab my shorts (which i dont think we’re actually even out of dress code) and my shift who i love (no shade at all) was wearing way shorter shorts and kept asking me literally where i got them lol
We also have a barista who is kinda lazy who he loves and accommodates her only being on bar because she hates every other position.
Idk its just super annoying and there are other baristas at our store who he doesnt favorite and wont promote them but will promote his favorites usually.
Just something thats bothering me lol

Booo my old manager was like this and it eventually made it so toxic to work there because anyone who got a ssv position was her fav and thus could do no wrong. It led to a lot of abuse of power and laziness on the shifts parts, and a huge camaraderie gap between Baristas and supervisors, because you never knew who was gonna be the snitch and who you could trust to have your back.

Its def has sadly made me resent working mornings knowing not only me but my friends wont be able to switch positions for peak and just making it miserable.
