I was thinking "well, it's complicated and sweet, but it doesn't seems so bad.." until I got to no mocha 💀 hope this person understands what they're ordering...

Lol wouldnt it be cheaper to get a steamed milk with all those modifications since they said no mocha? Unless they wanted the mocha sauce but assumed mocha means caffeine. I always wonder that when i get hot chocolates that say "no mocha" lol

Greetings,

I also think mocha sauce is automatically associated with caffeine, which is *somewhat* fair considering the actual drink called "mocha" is indeed getting caffeine. Maybe I am wrong.

No I definitely agree with you. I think that some people think that mocha means caffeine or coffee or something like that but if they're paying a ton of money for a drink and their mobile ordering it or ordering through Uber Eats, they should at least make sure of what it is that they're spending their money on especially with Starbucks because every drink is like super expensive nowadays. Because it would suck if they got their drink delivered to them or grabbed their drink from the mobile pick up area and then went home and realized that they accidentally hit the mocha because they thought that mocha means caffeine

I STARKLY agree here. I like to think I have been fairly vocal on this platform and beyond about the idea that most, if not, all of customers are one simple, quick and easy question away from bridging the gap between what they know they want in their head and what they actually order. It REALLY is not that hard, folks. The amount of needless assumptions people make (many of which are baseless anyway), be it when ordering or waiting to pick up a their drink, is mind-boggling.

But nooooo, people would rather order an Americano first and later complain about how it is watery instead of milky than ask upfront what the drink(s) are comprised of, thus averting the wasting of *everyone's* time. Siiiigh

Lol yea like if I'm going to spend somewhere between 5 to $10 on one single drink from Starbucks and I'm going to get it delivered through Uber Eats or do it as a mobile, like if I'm trying to order a drink through one of those channels and there's a certain thing in my drink that I'm going to just assume what it is for instance like a venti hot chocolate and then I'm going to assume that mocha is caffeine so I'm going to hit the button that says no mocha. So it's like paying all that money for one drink when you could look it up real quick on what mocha means at Starbucks or something because you can't just take the word mocha from another place that you've heard it where it means caffeine and then apply it to every other thing when you hear mocha

Lol but the thing is people get very defensive when we try to help them or ask them questions about what they mean because we're trying to get them as much help as possible so that they can get exactly what they want especially since they're paying so much. So like one time this woman mobile ordered to my store and she ordered a tall Americano with no water and only one shot instead of espresso instead of two and 2% milk and Splenda or something like that. So I got the tall hot cup and put her one shot of espresso in there and then I put a little bit of 2% milk in the cup and her Splenda and that was it and when she came to pick it up she said that the cup felt light and kind of cold. And I started to tell her and Americano is the amount of espresso shots that you want and the rest is water unless you specify milk so since you wanted just one shot and no water then you only have your one shot of espresso in there with your milk and she ended up being fine with it and taking it even though we offered to remake it for her. But she wasn't mean about it like a handful of other people are when you try to clarify things. But it just goes to show that a lot of people are ordering things and they don't know what it is and most of the time when I try to help them or ask them questions they look at me like I have five heads
