Yes-three times that I can think of off the top of my head. I was there 7 years. The worst one for me was being spit on (during the pandemic, I got COVID).

And then of course, countless threats of violence.

I was wearing a hoodie under my apron so I didn’t get burned, but seriously? That’s how an adult handles having his coffee order supposedly messed up?

A former barista at my store had a drink thrown in his face because the customer could see a *very* thin line of white mocha at the bottom of the drink. He got lemonade and white mocha in his eyes, and the customer was allowed to keep returning to our store, where she later cussed me and another partner out and laid on her horn for three minutes in our drive thru until we threatened to call the police. She still stops by occasionally.

A guy grabbed at my apron for my name tag to make a point out of threatening me over Covid regulations, he screamed in my face for several minutes and no one did anything. The SSV seemed overwhelmed and walked away after the customers confrontation. They left me on POS, the customer continued to be allowed sit in the cafe like nothing happened. I worked FT almost a year at that point so I was not new to aggressive customers but this one really crossed the line. I ended up walking off the floor and telling my manager it wasn’t right how I was treated and nothing was done about it. I packed my stuff and never went back. I have no idea how it was handled after that but no one ever reached out to me ever.

I had a crack head tell me he was going to cut my stomach open at 8 months pregnant, I’ve been spit on , a pen thrown at my face and my butt grabbed all by customers.
