No you don’t, it’s still a barista responsibility even though not every barista does it or learns how.
It’s a great way to show/learn money management skills if trying to move up within the company as well!

You don’t get a raise. It may be an extra skill/task, but it’s a “skill” that doesn’t translate to the rest of the job, and ultimately isn’t “used” outside of <1hr per week.
Just like you don’t get a raise for being a coffee master, and you don’t get a raise for learning latte art, and you don’t get a raise for learning how to do the pull (because shifts can delegate that task, it doesn’t have to be done by a shift), you don’t get a raise for learning how to do the promo set ups, or for doing chalkboard designs, etc
