I don’t think my SM has ever denied a request off, even super last minute ones like when the schedule is done but not quite posted

Same. Her policy is to approve all of them that she can, so as long as it’s at least the 3 weeks out, it should be approved. Things only get funky when there’s more than three or four on the same day, but we’ve always made it work- and usually things like that only come up once every few months, for one day or part of one day.

my friend has tickets to harry styles so they put in a time off request well in advance and got denied bc “it just depends on business needs” 💀

I requested the week of Christmas off last year before I had even worked at that store (I was in the middle of being transferred) at the beginning of September and my manager denied it several times without even meeting me and then when she did meet me, she never even addressed it
