Your Faviorte Brewed Coffee (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by jamosarous
I'm trying to become a coffee master and still need to finish my coffee passport. The only problem is that I don't like our brew coffee or coffee in general. I really want to broaden my coffee pallet but to me all our brewed coffes tastes acidic and bitter. So im wondering what's yalls faviorte coffee roast, what you like about it, and your go to food item to pair with it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I love our blonde roast, it's more mellow tasting and it smells less 'burnt' than the dark or pike imo. :) Try a splash of VSC in it paired with any of our scones 👌 take a bite of the scone and a sip of it while it's still in your mouth to soak it up. Very heavenly.

Verona with dark chocolate was the first brewed coffee that didn’t taste like dirt to me lol. Gold Coast with cheese or (possibly) be on loaf might be good as well.

Edit: French press helps a lot too IMO

Brew method and technique matters! Try them all in French press or leisurely pour over before making a final judgement for yourself.

Sumatra as a French press is so good! I really enjoyed it with a coffee cake. It was so smooth and probably the first time I’ve actually enjoyed a black coffee

I bought a cold brewer when our store got them and I love cold brewing the coffee!! I’m not really a coffee person but cold brew I’ll drink and enjoy more and it works for the coffee passport!

The way I figure it is that it doesn’t really matter if I like what I’m tasting or not, I’m just doing it for educational purposes

I’m a black coffee person, but I hate high acidity in my coffee. My favorite core coffee is sirens’ blend, but blonde espresso is also nice brewed as coffee, and italian roast and Verona are def the better dark roasts although dark roast isn’t my preference. Even though I like blonde roasts generally, veranda is really fuckin bad IMO. I don’t like the acidity and it has this aftertaste that’s the worst.
