The information is in the US Benefits Plan Description, which you can find on the partner hub, page 153. Specifically it says:
“For planned absences in advance of the posted schedule, the partner may use up to 8 hours of sick time per day or 40 hours per week. For absences after the schedule is posted, the partner may submit sick time hours equivalent to missed scheduled shifts.”
And allowed uses include:
“• Your mental or physical health, injury, or health condition, or if you need a medical diagnosis or preventative medical care;
• To obtain medical diagnosis, care, or treatment (including home care) for the same; or for preventive medical care or routine medical appointments, including pregnancy, childbirth, pre-natal visits, postpartum care, vaccinations, and dental visits”
Among other uses.
I’d suggest pulling up the document and having a conversation about it with your SM
