Lmao that reminds me when some customers are at the register, like if they want me to scan their app, they always hold their phones so far back that sometimes the scanner wire doesn't reach out too far or it's caught on something and then I'll just dead on hold the scanner as far out as it'll go and then I'll just stare at them until they move their phone closer

When they do that I just take a really long time to input the drink so they have to be standing there awkwardly with their phone out. Sometimes I’ll wait until the screen starts to dim

I had a customer last night who literally went "wait, I have to find my drink" and just went through her phone for about 2 or 3 minutes. She finally gave up and just ordered for two people who weren't her, I guess because she couldn't find her drink (how can it be her drink if she doesn't know what it is?) And I was allowed to go back to closing. BTW I work in a kiosk, we close with just a single person close. I have to do all tasks. I hate people who come in within two hours of my close and get more than one single drink and absolutely LOATHE people who get tiktok drinks at that time. I don't care that it is still relatively early for you, you absolute pond scum of a person.

I love the DT customers who can't take their phone off the charging cord to let me easily scan their app. Like the phone will not die while I take 5 seconds or less to scan it. Even if it's at 2%. And usually the charge isn't even close to the phone dying. And since it's on the charging cord, it doesn't reach that far out of their car and I also have to lean out.

I tell my customers that the glare from the lights, on the sneeze-guards and from my glasses, I need them to read it to me “I’m so sorry, but the lights hitting the guard, and my glasses make it extremely difficult to see, please read it to me and I’ll reverify it at the end”, and most simplify their order.
