A customer made my ssv cry 10min into the shift change (Venti rant in a Tr cup) (self.starbucksbaristas)

Basically it's a Sunday, typically busy but not at ALL the levels we've had this weekend (my guess due to more ppl knowing Abt pumpkin spice). For reference my store is making about 3k above our average, and because of that we have been overwhelmed with orders. Today at the shift change we started out 45 minutes behind on orders. A lady came in and my ssv gave her a heads up about it'll be a bit of a wait. So she left. Then Abt a few minutes later calls the store and just starts going off. My poor ssv was trying to explain to her our situation but she was just going on and on and would not let her get a word in. Lady is going on Abt how she called corporate and how this was "unacceptable" (understandable). This week has been AWFUL in terms of our store with poor management and scheduling so we were all at our breaking point essentially. My ssv did the best she possibly could have keeping it together on the phone then the lady just *hung up*. Ssv immediately in tears and shaking. We can't really do anything about it unless my sm wants to sift through caller Id to find the number. Anyway, if any customers are reading this: be kind to your baristas We are under so much stress every day. A smile and Genuine Thank you mean so much sometimes. <3

I always have this mental mentality that if you be rude to your server/barista, expect to have your drinks or food spit in. Obviously baristas can’t really do it but servers can.

But anyway OP, fuck that customer. What did she wanted y’all to do? At least your SSV let her know instead of ignoring her

Right, idek what she wanted. This weekend has been hell on earth at our store so this definitely didn't help

Best thing you two can do is just ignore her and maybe an incident report(if that’s considered as one?)
