mobile orders (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Longjumping_Stick_56
there needs to be a cap on mobile orders i’m burning out. it’s just nonstop hundreds of them and they’re the f’ing worst drinks to make every time.

There needs to actually be a cap per minute/five minute period. Having 30 orders come in literally within 90 seconds of each other is just poor design and it pisses everyone (customers included) off

And it’s never just one or two drinks— we have one person who routinely (like 2x/wk) places a 13 drink mobile plus food. At minimum, there should be a cap on how much you can order via mobile.

I think there is? but then people place a second mobile order and continue on
canadiadryy 3 points 10m ago
I don’t think there is, only because their order will show that it’s one of 15 items and I don’t think it would do that if the system broke it up.

no I think the limit is like 17 or so items. it doesn’t automatically break up the order. people will order to the limit and then place another order continuing because the limit wasn’t enough for them.

no bc the other day i was put on cold bar but the bar 2 person for cafe, mobile, and delivery drinks disappeared so i tried to help her until she got back (and when she did she didn’t help out) so i was trying to make drinks for cafe but nonstop tickets for mobile and delivery were coming up and i got no help until my manager and shift saw it and removed me from bar and put me on DTO. like ok u saw that i needed help but took me off instead?? ive been working here for a month and a half so it was a terrible experience and people need to not order mobile and delivery during the worst possible times so i agree 100000%

They do this same BS to me all the time and I started a month ago like yeah I need help making constant orders but instead of helping they take me off bar completely. That’s not helping me whatsoever
sanjiless 3 points 10m ago
FRR and i forgot to mention the fact that they stopped mobile orders for the time being until THEY caught up with orders LMAOOO so stupid i swear. tomorrow i have this weird noncoverage meeting w my manager for 45mins and i wanna bring it up but idk how to without sounding bad
Any_Target5307 6 points 10m ago
You have to word it politically correct for them. Like “i feel like I often need support from other partners when mobile orders get backed up. I really enjoy being on bar and feel penalized when I’m switched to drive through despite working on my speed and quality. Upsetting customers waiting (insert amount of time) really makes me feel like I’m not creating the best experience for them” lmfao I’m laughing typing it but I swear they’ll eat it up. Good luck in the meeting tho! Hope it goes well

thank you!! i hope it goes well too, all my coworkers are gonna have it but idk why i’m one of the first😭 i think im supposed to have like a discussion ab my progress and have questions for my SM but i don’t have much, most of them r just complains i’d rather keep to myself LMAOO but tbh my schedule is a mess rn so i work mids which is like during/after peak but recently it’s been SO busy so hopefully it relaxes since fall stuff have been out for a bit now

they would always do this to me at my last store too. and they'd replace me with like 3 other people rather than getting someone to help. mobiles get really crazy really fast
sanjiless 1 points 10m ago
how did u deal with it? did u like bring it up at all or did u just avoid it? idk how to mention it to them
crystyleea 1 points 10m ago
i didn't bring it up 😭 and i've transferred since then so it's kind of in the past now but honestly i would recommend talking about it because otherwise they will continue to treat you like that

Capping it would make people freak out much more. They’ll at least keep composed if they know you’re working on it. Being denied the ability to order is going to start fires.
