Hey guys! I’m a barista BUT I work at a target starbucks. So my store is smaller & we have less employees, even customers. Now my question is, is there a big difference between them? I used to work at starbucks but only worked for 2 weeks because after I had to get an emergency surgery, and than I had problems with sedgwick etc..
I got a job at target but they hired me as a barista, which i love my job so much, but don’t get the desired hours i want (35-40h. I get 25 MAX.)
Now i’ve been wanting a second job for a while, so i applied to starbucks again but at a different location and my cousin basically hooked me up because I have experience now.. Idk i’m kinda scared, the month i got hired was such a blur because I was having pain & such and i only remember to much.. should I even be scared?

Yes before I worked at Sb I worked at a kiosk. Working at a real store is awful for the first few months. There is a learning curve and being bad is embarrassing haha. at the kiosk you have a good skill foundation you just need to work on your pace and sequencing. It’s not bad though it’s lowkey fun tbh esp at a DT. You will not get your 35-40 at a starbucks store either but you can reach that territory if you work/borrow at multiple stores
Push for the hours let ‘em know — if you’re just coasting you’ll probably get 28 hours unless you’re an ssv opening at 4am

ended up getting 35 hours at my target starbucks !! :DD hopefully getting promoted to a trainer soon!! tysm for the advice!
