29***** signing off. Fuck you Starbucks(self.starbucksbaristas)

And especially fuck you to the worst group of people I think I’ve ever met as coworkers.

Coworkers make or break or your exp working at starbucks. Fs. I like the store where i’m borrowed more than my official store
cmgriff19993 points10m ago
^^^ this is absolutely true. I transfer between two stores normally, one when I’m at school which I LOVE and the other closer to home. The one at home has a crew with such a bad attitude towards the job, customers, and everything that comes with it. However, the school store for me has such an amazing crew that I consider some really close friends of mine even outside of work. The home store made me want to quit, came back and worked one shift at my school store and forgot all about it
borrowedurmumsvcard43 points10m ago
but don’t you want to join the alumni program??? 😃😃😃😃😃
PayObjective123 [OP]14 points10m ago
What’s that?
borrowedurmumsvcard37 points10m ago
omg starbucks made like a community thing for alumni of starbucks, people that have worked there before. it’s so dumb
barlemniscate7 points10m ago
What’s all involved with it. Is it just a social club?
borrowedurmumsvcard9 points10m ago
I honestly have no idea. I just kept seeing the words community
One_Hundred_X-17 points10m ago
Starbucks is STILL good
chateauduchat5 points10m ago
Uh, have you seen the news lately?
One_Hundred_X-6 points10m ago
What are you referring to?
Thomastheshankengine36 points10m ago
Good for you. My last group of coworkers were ok but there were a couple shifts and ppl who treated me like absolute garbage. Felt like I was in Highschool with the level of work place bullying and harassment that went totally unaddressed.
Seaboats17 points10m ago
I used to call my store Starbucks High because of all the petty drama that went on there between employees
clouds18316 points10m ago
proud of you!!
PayObjective123 [OP]12 points10m ago
Thx!!
Peace2Theaworld15 points10m ago

PauseAccording206 points10m ago
Congratulations!
Chondodo6 points10m ago
Is it honestly that bad?
borrowedurmumsvcard35 points10m ago
it literally depends on the store
PayObjective123 [OP]18 points10m ago
My experience yes
Chondodo15 points10m ago
I’m also a 29 and Starbucks is definitely the best job I’ve worked at.
Jesslynnlove9 points10m ago
300 and best job i've worked at as well.
1_Just_Trying5 points10m ago
320, and yep
capsule_of_anxiety12 points10m ago
Lol what fantasy world are you guys all living in?
Chondodo2 points10m ago
One where most things to me are mild inconveniences.
ekatis12 points10m ago
It’s chaos
littlekatie34 points10m ago
I hear you. I almost wanted to walk out the other day because of my shift manager. People are either loud and irritating, or quiet and give you bad looks.
official_koda_4 points10m ago
I’m an ex 282 and yeah I had some of the worst coworkers ever. Obviously some were great, but it was SO freaking gossipy majority of the time, like middle school.
ladychelle3 points10m ago
Seeing posts like this as a 27***** partner……🥹We won’t be here forever comrades 🫡
edit: words

i left starbucks last month as a 297. i worked in four different stores over my time. only one of them had a really good and healthy environment. three were absolute shitholes. between the literal abuse from customers (i literally have scarring from when a customer threw a boiling hot tea at me), coworkers that either don’t do their jobs or they think they’re the shit and boss you around even though they don’t even know how to make drinks properly, the union busting, the emphasis on customer connection like man this customer literally just called me a f*got last time i saw him and you want me to spend time yo connect no fuck him. the speed they expect you to have and expect you to keep composure when you’re literally on bar by yourself, the way they try to call it a third place but they treat you like a butt cheek on a stick and there can be no third place anyways if there’s no first place. that being said, i do miss some aspects of it. i miss some of my coworkers and being around their dumb ass jokes, i miss making coffee and attempting latte art even though i knew damn well i couldn’t do it on a time crunch, and i miss some of my regulars. i really do. will i ever go back? only if i have no job set in stone when i move to another place. idk, people really make sbux out to be sunshine and rainbows and it’s not.
ladychelle5 points10m ago
Omg the micromanaging coworkers 🫠 Like Becky you’re literally an external hire that’s been training for like two weeks pls stop trying to tell me how to make a pourover. PS Congrats on being out, fellow seasoned bean.
roryascher277 points10m ago
thank you! but literally!!!! i will never forget this bitch trying to tell me i was doing making a latte wrong. then she proceeded to describe how to make it in the exact same steps i had made it, well, correctly. i literally said to her “did you see me making it and just want to be a dumb bitch? and try to tell me i’m doing something wrong and then proceed to tell me the exact way i did it as the right way? are you fucking dumb?” i was soooooo done with these people. or when something told me an iced london fog only steps to steep for thirty seconds like? i literally used to always make myself those like no wonder why when i order them on my own time they taste weak. omg or one time this same person bitched at me that i was taking too long to start taking someone order in the drive thru. i was taking their order, she was a deaf woman. i was using the camera feature on DT to sign ASL with her to take her order, which takes a while cause i’m not the best at sign. and my coworker was like “dude take the order already” over the headset. like i’m literally doing sign language you’re not hearing me speak because i’m signing you dumb bitch. or when my fiancé came in to the store while i was working drive thru and it was very busy so i couldn’t go see him right away so my coworker took his order… she started making fun of him on the headset calling him weird and that he talks too much and doesn’t make eye contact… he’s neurodivergent. i literally went over there and lost. my. shit. i put in my two weeks on my break that day. i was done. if there weren’t customers in the store i stg that bitch would have got a punch straight to her jaw to shut her up. i was done with her shit.
SjayUGA1 points10m ago
What do the numbers mean??
PayObjective123 [OP]2 points10m ago
Employee numbers. The lower the first 2-3 numbers means the longer you were with the company. For me it was ab a year and a half, closer to two years
SjayUGA1 points10m ago
I’m 246
Wonderful-Stand-80291 points10m ago
I’m 29**** but the mount of bs nd gossip that happens between coworkers is crazy I can careless bout customers cause after close u good but the gossip between coworkers the bs mangers do is enough to definitely leave nd not join back
smloos1 points10m ago
