Pastry shelf life (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by BusyLeek2351
I keep getting told different information and I can’t gain access to store link.

Corporate Starbucks:
My sm and balford both told me that pastries can be left out for 5 days if they’re refrigerated. (Granted this is when our freezer was overflowing with food balford left the food out and said it was okay). I’ve had another store manager tell me this as well.

My new store says pasties is just 2 days period. But they’re really outdated with things (8 pumps vanilla for whips, vanilla still in hot chocolate).

I just want to be sure.

Official shelf life for most of the pastries is 2 days. Only exceptions I can think of are madelines (2 weeks for plain, 1 month for chocolate) and dream bars (2 weeks).

Shelf lives for each item are listed in pull to thaw

The shelf life is also listed on the label on the box, in case you ever forget.

5 days sounds like too long, but my store doesn't have a fridge for pastries so idk.

Oh wow what kind of store do you work at with no pastries? Do you still have fresh/frozen sandwiches and stuff?

We have pastries, they just don't go in the fridge! It was a bit rubbish when we had that massive heatwave because some of them melted 😬 (Scotland) We don't have anything frozen but we have sandwiches which go in a tallboy fridge, that customers grab themselves. I think it's different across the pond? But that's how we have it!
