If I used sick time, would I still get paid for the hours I was supposed to work? I looked at the scheduling app and it said I had just called off?

You have to write it in the punch log and your manager applies it while doing payroll

Make sure you communicate directly to your manager that you wanted to use sick pay for that time. You should be paid the same for whatever number of hours you would've worked :)
