Are we required to work any weekends? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I know we have to have 18 hours available and work at least 12 hours a week but as far as availability, do I have to work weekends? Also how far in advance do I have to submit an update to my availability? thanks in advance.

Idk if there’s any overall requirement to work weekends but I don’t think any of the managers I’ve encountered would have allowed ppl to have no weekend availability. You’d probably be better off picking one weekend day to be available and then submitting a time off request if you have events where you particularly want the whole weekend here or there.

I’m not 100% sure about the weekends part. My guess is that at least one day of the weekend is preferred, but not necessarily required. I’ve seen people be available one or no days of the weekend, but it will ultimately depend on everyone else’s availabilities at your store (and possibly your manager’s flexibility).
