submitted by siouxxsiee
so i just got hired as a barista!! i’m super stoked, but need some recs for womens bottoms. i’m not 100% sure of the dress code and would like some brand recs. i’m in florida so preferably some that aren’t made of super thick material

Any pants, skirt, or shorts longer than 4” above knee (& in the color palette I.e. neutrals) are fair game. Personally I recommend finding shorts in the men’s section, but I understand if you’re not quite gay enough to feel comfy doing that (I am lesbian lol)

Honestly if you have money to spend on new workwear I highly recommend looking for real nonslip shoes that also are not made of a material that liquid can soak through

They are required to be shoes that liquid can’t soak through. Rubber, leather, pleather, etc.

Dunno that it’s specified. As a shift I’m not about to get out a ruler or anything bc that just seems creepy. I’ll call people on dress code stuff that is food safety related, but someone’s shorts would have to be way beyond question for me to be moved to say anything to be honest with you.

I have a couple pairs of linen pants (I searched & found 2 nice pairs at marshals) and cargo shorts. I find linen pants (in like regular drawstring and “cargo pant” style) are super nice bc they’re lightweight but give full coverage. Also, bistro crocs for shoes

I personally love the universal thread jeans at target, I’m tall so I always make sure to get the high waisted ones with my size followed by L(ong) not R(egular). Obviously depends on the fit you get but they’re really good stretchy jeans. Also if thrifting is a great budget friendly option. Usually Goodwill has $1 Thursday’s & e-mail a monkey 20% off $20 coupon every month.

If you Google Starbucks dress code there will be a color palette. As long as it's in the color palette (solid color) doesn't have rips or holes, doesn't drag on the ground, and is no more 4 inches above the knee you're good. Jeggings are allowed but leggings can only be worn beneath skirts or dresses
