Customers are stupid and liars.

That’s like me going to 5guys and saying that I’m allergic to peanuts but knows that they use only peanut oil….. customers are so dumb.

this reminds me about how at my first job a man ordered a milkshake with no whip and i accidentally made with with whip, so he told me to take it off bc he was allergic to whip..

Does she think mocha means caffeine/coffee and not chocolate? Lol but even then, how can she be allergic to chocolate if shes been having it like every day? She probably didnt wana ask for a remake or for it to be fixed and get caramel drizzle cuz she probably didn't wana feel guilty or bad so she made up a reason that shes allergic to chocolate? Lol idk either that or she thinks mocha means caffeine but like how are u having it every day if ur allergic? People amaze me 🙃

Edit: fixed typo

“Make sure it’s almond milk, I can’t have dairy! Oh also extra vsccf and extra caramel drizzle.” “Those are both made of dairy products, is that okay?” “Yeah that’s fine.”

I always want to ask them to clarify but I never have. I can’t imagine that many people with food allergies or intolerances don’t even know what their own allergy is so I like to think they’re just lying to ensure it’s nondairy milk.

I think customers don’t know the difference between allergies and intolerance/sensitivity.

I’m lactose sensitive, I can’t drink 16oz of milk without paying for it later but a little bit of whip cream won’t bother me too much.

Customer told me she was severely allergic to dairy and then once we made a drink for her that was dairy free, she proceeds to order egg bites. When I informed her they have cheese in them, she goes oh I can have cheese just not milk…….
Pies-in-the-Skies 2 points 10m ago
That could be true. Some people have trouble with liquid dairy, but there’s something about the processing that allows them to have cheese. Not unusual.

Sugar, cocoa processed with alkalai, and vanillin (artificial vanilla flavor) are the ingredients of mocha powder.

Maybe her chocolate allergy is in her mind? I had an "allergy" to chocolate, candy, and sweets when I was a kid because my mom told me I did, it was a way for her to keep me from wanting to go trick-or-treating or wanting a birthday cake or wanting to go to another kid's party, when in reality it was so she didn't have to explain our religious aversions to those things. I should have known when I could have chocolate milk and home made cake and cookies at home... That followed me into my late teens and then I wondered about the rest of my "allergies". Most of those weren't fake and I ended up hospitalized on a few. Not everyone knows their actual allergies, unfortunately.

I had a guy yelling at me for putting whip on his frap, it was a mobile order with whole milk and nothing about no whip. he claimed he was lactose intolerant so I asked if he wanted it remade with a substitute milk and he said no he just couldn't have the whip. If you want the whip off your frap just ask nicely and we'll remake it you don't have to lie and you definitely don't have to throw a fit.
