For dress code, they changed pretty recently. I'm paraphrasing but all solid top colors are permitted but graphics are still banned, only one facial piercing no bigger than a dime, earings no bigger than a quarter. Drive times are only really serious during morning peaks, connecting is something that's encouraged pretty heavily depending on your store but it should be pretty easy judging off your current job. All said and done your experience will be different depending on the store, they all have different cultures and priorities. Most stores ive been too have a wonderful staff with some drama or outliers, but great experiences, best of luck to you.

i’m a SB barista and I just got rehired at the same time as this guy who is a first timer coming in as an SSV like you. We work at a DT as well. Based on what i’ve been able to gather the important thing to starbucks for an ssv position is your management experience doing things like inventory and scheduling and opening and closing and counting cash registers etc. This guy has next to no barista skills so that shouldn’t be too bad provided you learn at the same pace as the other green beans. It sounds like you are coming from dutch bros so like I wouldn’t worry too hard. if you think you could keep up at a mcdonald’s or an in n out you will do fine at starbucks to

Short version is you are gonna be doing exactly the same thing except you’ll have 3x as many orders and possibly more bureaucratic responsibilities

don’t be intimidated by starbucks drink recipes it looks like there’s 30 drinks on the menu. There’s actually 4 basically

-Latte

-Iced Latte / Cold Brew

-Refresher

-Frap

If you know the basics you’ll get all the skins and variants in no time
