What is wrong with Corporate? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have had many bad experiences with shift supervisors abusing their power, and being inappropriate towards me. In every situation I have tried to discuss it with a shift, then the store manager, and then going to district manager and it never helped me. I was always cut short and they policed the language I was using and how much information I could share. Just today, I had contacted the partner helpline after a shift had gotten violent with me and made inappropriate comments about religion and the helpline hung up on me before finished my report. I called again only to be told that I can not report more than one situation and that I would have to wait until they investigate one report at a time. I was not able to report both the physical violence and the insulting comments made towards me. Why is this system so slow and inefficient. I can basically just assume the person whos bothering me is going to quit before any action is taken against them. And the fact this isn't the first time my voice has been silenced frustrates me beyond belief. I get why they give the benefit of free therapy now because this job has ruined my mental health.

They’re too busy union busting to actually care about what’s happening to their partners. I’m sorry. Keep reporting, and/or start organizing.
