so i’m 17 in high school and i just started at starbucks. i’ve had a few people ask if i want to pick up their shifts and i don’t mind. so for now i have 17 hours scheduled this week and someone just asked me if i can cover their 6 hour shift. would i be able to take that or not since i’m under 18?

Check with your manager, Starbucks is very strict about the hours that minors can work and it may vary by state.

Absolutely what everyone said about checking hours with an SM, but a little advice, unless you have more than 2 days off a week, don't pick up hours on your days off unless you have to. Things vary wildly from store to store but starbucks is a tough job and days off, especially with school, are valuable. Take extra hours on days you work by enjoy your days off.
