every time someone orders some weird drink i kinda love saying “unfortunately, that is not a menu item. id need to know what’s in the drink.” and then they end up just getting a pink drink or something 💀💀

I just recently had someone ask us for the Hocus Pocus drink too! (turns out it’s a matcha frapp with white mocha and peppermint or something)

The ‘under the sea’ refresher was the worst at my other store. It was always young teens/kids with their parents who asked for it and eventually we started telling them, “that’s not a real drink, it’s made with chemicals.” Definitely hoping that the whole secret menu craze will someday pass, or at least they will start to give more clarity that these drinks are made up!

Lol a dad and his daughters were in my store once and the dad was asking his daughter what she wanted and she told him in a low voice cuz she was young and the dad repeated it to us "do u guys have the rainbow drink?" And its really cute that the dad is trying his best to make his daughter happy but like i told them its not a menu item and that i can definitely do it if they give me a recipe and we have the ingredients and he asked her and she said no. Lol so they ended up getting something else. Lol if u looked up a drink on social media, then of course its a made up put together by random ingredients type of drink so u have to get the recipe to give to us otherwise...🤷‍♀️

One of the worst parts of it is that the name can pop up for two different people's recipes, so one person's Trademarked Name Drink is not the same as someone else's Trademarked Name Drink, and everyone ordering it expects you to read their mind. I don't care what you call it, you're modifying a menu item, tell me what modifications you want
