I loved opening my favorite shift. Turn the ovens on as you’re walking in. My shift always did the coffees and teas so I’d do the display case, stocking the pastries and sandwiches then RTD&E. Start by getting the pastries out FIFO as necessary and get them on display, by the time pastries are done ovens should be warmed up so cook the display sandwiches then get on to RTD&E as quickly as possible double checking expiration on what’s already in the refrigerated display. FIFO and double check that the counts match what is supposed to be in the day’s delivery because it was wrong usually at least a couple times a week at my store.
